Men on ADT Skipping Out on Bisphosphonates
Few men in Canada receiving androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) for prostate cancer have simultaneous bisphosphonate treatment to prevent fractures, researchers found. Only 3.4 per 100 men on ADT also had bisphosphonates in 2010-2012, Shabbir Alibhai, MD, of University Health Network in Toronto, and colleagues wrote in a letter in the Journal of the American Medical Association.
