  • Recognize the impact of poor job performance and substance use on quality care and overall safety
  • Review specific indicators of poor job performance related to substance use, mental and emotional conditions, physical compromise and cognitive decline
  • Develop strategies to promote safety and provide assistance to an unsafe healthcare employee
  • Explain how the Intervention Project for Nurses (IPN) and the Professional Resources Network (PRN) in Florida assist healthcare professionals identified as unsafe practitioners
