myCME and HealthHIV Partner to Offer HIV Primary Care Training & Certificate Program
Online Continuing Medical Education (CME) Program Provides Clinicians Certificate of Proficiency in HIV Primary Care
Paramus, N.J., May 1, 2018—To elevate the quality of healthcare provided to patients infected with HIV, myCME—global online medical education leader—and HealthHIV, a national non-profit organization that advances effective prevention, care, support, and health equity for people living with, or at risk for, HIV/AIDS—have partnered to launch HealthHIV's renowned HIV Primary Care Training & Certificate Program on myCME. The course will be available within the myCME Marketplace at mycme.com/HealthHIV.
Designed for healthcare professionals (Primary Care Physicians, Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants) who care for patients with, or at risk for, HIV/AIDS, the online continuing medical education (CME) and certificate program costs $199 and offers five courses grounded in a proven model of HIV primary care: HIV Management, Core Skills, Considerations for Management in Older Adults, Improving Communication, and Treatment Decisions in HIV/HCV Coinfection.
The curriculum provides clinicians the opportunity to develop new skills and professional competencies that can be immediately applied in clinical practice. Participants completing the CME curriculum will earn a certificate of proficiency in HIV primary care and 4.50 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.
“The mission to provide education to advance treatment, influence practice change, and address health disparities for people living with, or at risk for, HIV/AIDS is common ground that myCME shares with HealthHIV,” said David Azevedo, Head of Content at myCME. “We have been pleased to partner with HealthHIV on past initiatives, and we are excited to be reunited in order to present our clinicians with this important training and certificate program.”
“We can't wait to see the clinician response to the HIV Primary Care Training & Certificate Program on the myCME Marketplace,” said Brian Hujdich, Executive Director of HealthHIV. “The fact that over 2.2 million clinicians trust myCME to deliver educational content to help them build skills and improve patient care made our decision to collaborate with myCME on this initiative a natural one.”
Recognized as a global leader of online medical education, myCME reaches 2.2 million healthcare professionals with relevant, engaging, and actionable education that positively impacts clinical performance and patient outcomes.
With top-quality courses across multiple specialties, myCME and its sister accredited provider of CME, Haymarket Market Medical Education, provide scientific and medical knowledge designed to elevate the performance of both practitioners and their practices.
In addition to housing complimentary CME/CE courses, myCME offers hundreds of intensive courses, board reviews, exam preparatory programs, state-required CME, and more in the myCME Marketplace to provide clinicians access to quality, hard-to-find education they want and need to maintain professional certification requirements.
