Program Description

This activity, entitled State of the Art of Cancer Therapeutics: Focus on CLL, is the third of 4 Grand Rounds webinars put on by City of Hope and Paradigm Medical Communications, LLC. The Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) Grand Rounds webinar reviews the latest treatment for patients who have CLL based on the most current clinical data available as well as potential therapies that are under development in clinical trials, including some in phase 3 development. Immune-related adverse events and toxicities are also described, and possible solutions are discussed.

Intended Audience

This activity has been designed to address the educational needs of community and institution-based medical oncologists, hematologists, surgical oncologists, interventional radiologists, pathologists, PAs, nurse practitioners, oncology nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare providers involved in the management of patients with cancer.

Educational Objectives

Upon proper completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

  • Determine optimal therapy/treatment for patients who have chronic lymphocytic leukemia based on the latest clinical data.
  • Integrate and personalize new treatment options for chronic lymphocytic leukemia into clinical practice based on the latest clinical trial data, evidence, and recommendations.

The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Program (AANPCP) accepts certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM  from organizations accredited by ACCME. Individuals are responsible for checking with the AANPCP for further guidelines.

Allied Health Care Professionals
Registered nurses may report up to 1.00 credit hour toward the continuing education requirement for license renewal by their state Board of Registered Nurses (BRN). A certificate of participation will be available for download/printing immediately following your successful completion of the post-activity assessment and evaluation. Your certificate will be saved on the Paradigm Medical Communications website and will not be available in your myCME CME History.
